Estas foram as perguntas que fiz, por e-mail, a minha Host Mom. Ela, obviamente, não respondeu as perguntas todas de uma vez. Essas perguntas nos conduziram a uma troca de mais de 50 e-mails em que nos conhecemos em muitos aspectos e nos conduziram a um MATCH.

What are their favorite games and toys?

Are there other families with children nearby? 

Do they feel comfortable playing with other kids?

Are there any other au pairs in the area?

What qualities do you find important in an au pair? 

What are you expecting from me?

You’ve already answered the reasons why you’ve decided to have an au pair. Would you mind if I ask you to talk to her or send her an e-mail? Would you give me her e-mail if she also agrees?

What about the au pair's bedroom, what part of the house is the bedroom located? 

Will I have a private room/bathroom?

Will I have access to internet and computer?

HOUSEHOLD DUTIES, RULES AND USE OF THE CAR

What are the house's rules?

Do you have a housekeeper?

Will I be responsible for any household duties? If so, which ones? 

Can I receive and make phone calls in your house? (I don’t do this often. I’ll probably use skype to contact my family and friends, but my parents will feel safer if they could have a number to call and contact me)

What time am I supposed to get home during weekdays? And on the weekends?

Am I free to stay home on the weekends?

About my driver’s license: Is a state driver's license required?

Will I have permission to use the car? How often? How far? 

Are there only certain times when I can use the car?
